Veda Parayanam held at Swamimalai

With the benign blessings and directions of Jagadgurus Pujyasri Shankaracharya Swamijis of Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Veda Parayanam was held as scheduled at Sri Dakshinamurthy Sannadhi, Sri Swaminatha Swami Temple, Swamimalai. Details follow :
1) 10-09-2013 : Regular Sukla Shashti Parayanam on Rig, Krishna Yajur, Sukla Yajur, Gouthama & Jaimini Sakha of Sama Vedam rendered by 9 Veda Vidwans.
2) 11-09-2013 : Vyasa Poojai Vasthra Samarpanam (Annual event) - Abhishekam to Sri Swaminatha Swami; Sri Rudram, Pancha Rudram, Atharvana Veda Rudram & Purusha Sooktham Japam during Abhishekam rendered by 6 Veda Vidwans and Vasthra Samarpanam were all held in the morning.
3) 11-09-2013 : Regular Anusha Parayanam on Rig, Krishna Yajur, Sukla Yajur, Gouthama & Jaimini Sakha of Sama Vedam rendered by 15 Veda Vidwangal.
4) 11th to 14th Sep 2013 : Athravana Vedam Poorna Samhitha Parayanam was rendered by 4 Veda Vidwangal ( all the four are Dwivedees i.e. Swa Sakai + Atharvana Vedam).
5) Rig Veda Nithya Parayanam is being held regularly.
The next parayan will be held on : 8-10-2013 - Anusha Parayanam (4-6 pm) 5th - 8th Nov 2013 - An Added Event : From this year, Athravana Vedam Poorna Samhitha Parayanam
will be held twice.

About Swamimalai Veda Parayanam - with latest dates and write-up in Tamil
SWAMIMALAI-Tamil Nadu
It is situated on a small artificial hillock near Kumbakonam, Tanjore district. The six feet tall idol is known as Swaminatha, who is reputed to have initiated his father Siva into the power and meaning of OM the Pranava Mantra. The temple for Swaminatha, the son, is on a higher pedestal than that of the father(Siva).
